Earlier this year, the team at JLD Entertainment had the privilege to provide and manage game day entertainment, promotional staff and club mascots for the NRL Magic Round in Brisbane. The event was held across the weekend of May 13-15 at Suncorp Stadium.

Whilst planning and choreographing for the event started a few months prior to the big weekend, auditions and casting were held on Monday May 10 to find 16 male and female dancers. The final group were then moved straight into the studio for rehearsals over the Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday leading up to the weekend, with a final stadium tech run carried out on Thursday night.
JLD also brought in Corey Blake to assist JLD Director, Jac Elliott with auditions, casting and choreography for this job as it was a huge two man job!
Over the weekend, we saw 8 games of football played out, and over 135,000 visitors attending the event. Whilst the entire process was exhausting, we could not have got through it without our incredible team of staff and performers who made the event one of our best yet.
